Prepare Your Eye For Makeup:
First prepare your eye like other features of your face, for makeup. Apply concealer to cover dark eye circles, eye puffs or any blemishes under your eye. Tap the concealer with ring finger until it absorbs well.
Eye Primer or Base Application:
Apply eye primer or base on both eye lids to keep your eye makeup for long. Without properly priming your eye lid first, your eye shadow will likely end up a greasy line in your crease. It also enhances the eye shadows colors.
Apply Eye Shadows:
A basic eye makeup kit consists of three types of eye shadows
- Light tone shades/Highlighters
- Mid tone shades
- Dark tone shades
Mid tone shades are the most frequently used shades and are more close to your skin tone. While dark tone shades are used to contour your eyes. Always apply eye shadows that compliment your outfit and eye shape.
For best eye makeup apply light shades first with the strokes across your eye lid upto brow bone, then, apply mid tones on your eye lid and in later apply dark tone in the crease only. For smooth look, blend all the shades well.
Eye-Liner:
Dark eye shadows work well as eye liner. Use wet angle brush and dip it in the dark shade and apply along the upper and lower eye lash line. Secret of best looking eye liner is to keep it close to eye lash line.
Highlighter:
Highlighter application is a makeup artist’s secret to make the eyes pop. Apply the lightest shade from your eye makeup kit and dab it in the inner corner of the eye. It make the eye makeup more prominent and artistic.
Curl The Lashes:
Curl your lashes to make them look big and well defined. Use heat eye lash curler, but don’t worry if you not have heat curler. Heat your regular curler under blow-dryer for few seconds and curl your lashes carefully.
Mascara:

Shape your Brows:
Use eye brow brush or any old toothbrush to properly shape your brows. Use eye shadow close to your brow hair color to make them look more prominent and beautiful.
