Summer makeup should not be heavy and is mostly aimed at protecting the
skin from exposure to sun rays, avoid excessive sweating, cut out the oily shine and prevent clogging of skin pores that often result in acnes and pimples. Here are some useful tips for summer eye makeup.
Switch to products that can handle the heat. Look for long-wearing or waterproof mascara, choose eye pencils over liquid liners, and switch to light shadows and neutral shades. In summers go light. A touch of mascara and a little eye liner will ‘open’ up the eye and bring your face to life. Swap your black mascara for one that is either brown-black or brown. Skip eyeliner and mascara on the lower lashes. It’s likely to streak in the sweaty under-eye area. To complete your look remember to have your eyebrows professionally shaped.
Set eye makeup with a light dusting of loose powder. This will help absorb any moisture that may cause eye makeup to melt. Use a non-powdered blotting paper to remove any under-eye perspiration when you do notice streaking. Wipe away any eye makeup with a clean cotton swab.
