According to modern research, Vitamin D not only help bones in storring calcium and enhances bone strength but it also helps in reducing the risk of cancers of bowels, breast and prostate.

Our body can get this essential vitamin from UVB rays, oily fish like salmon and tuna, fortified cereals and eggs. Exposure to sunlight for 15-20 min thrice a week without sunscreen is enough to get essential amount of vitamin D.
